Day 1 – Yangon
Arrive in Yangon and transfer to your hotel. Yangon lies in the fertile delta of southern Myanmar, on the wide Yangon River. The city is filled with tree-shaded boulevards, while shimmering stupas float above the treetops. Overnight in Yangon

Day 2 – Yangon
Start the day in the heart of Yangon which features an interesting selection of monuments and colonial buildings. Visit the Independent Monument, High Court, City Hall, Sule Pagoda and National Museum to gain an insight into Myanmar. In the afternoon, visit some of the more well-known pagodas, including Botataung Pagoda, Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda and Shwedagon Pagoda, the highlight of any visit to Yangon. Towering over the city, this pagoda is the most sacred spot in the country. Overnight in Yangon

Day 3 Yangon – Bagan
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Bagan. Spend the day discovering the Beauty of Bagan as you explore the vast and fascinating area, and discover temples with unique stories, features and architecture. The spectacular plain of Bagan stretches away from the Ayeyarwaddy River and is dotted with over 2,000 temple structures dating back over 800 years. In the evening enjoy a panoramic view of the sun setting over the plain of Bagan from one of the pagoda platforms. Overnight in Bagan

Day 4 – Bagan – Mandalay
Today fly to Mandalay the last capital of royal Burma. Mandalay is still one of the largest cities in Myanmar, and a cultural and spiritual centre. In the morning, head to Mahamuni Paya, perhaps the most venerated image in Myanmar, covered in over 15 cm of gold leaf. En route to the pagoda, observe the laborious process of Gold-Leaf Beating, where gold is painstakingly hammered into tissue-thin squares. This afternoon includes some of the city’s most interesting temples and palaces including Shwenandaw Kyaung, or the Golden Teak Monastery, Kyauktawgyi Paya, Kuthodaw Paya, known also as “the world’s biggest book” and Shwe Kyin Old Monastery. This evening head to Mandalay Hill for sunset to experience panoramic views over the palace, Mandalay and the paya-studded countryside. Overnight in Mandalay

Day 5 – Mandalay – Heho – Pindaya
Today fly to Heho and head to the Pindaya Caves. Ensconced in a limestone ridge overlooking the lake. It contains more than 8000 Buddha images made from alabaster, teak, marble, brick, lacquer and cement. Overnight in Pindaya

Day 6 – Pindaya – Inle Lake 
Enjoy a boat ride on Inle Lake and discover its calm serenity, still waters and colourful brush strokes of floating vegetation and slow moving fishing canoes. Rolling high hills hug the lake on all sides, as the lake’s shore and islands host 17 villages on stilts, mostly inhabited by the Intha people. Visit the enchanting floating gardens, a teeming market and Intha village around the lake. Afterwards visit the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, Inn Paw Khon Village (Lotus and silk weaving villages) and Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery. Overnight in Inle Lake

Day 7 – Inle Lake – Heho – Yangon 
Travel by boat to the western shore of Inle lake to explore the hidden Indein temple complex. Consisting of hundreds of small stupas overgrown by moss and greens. Continue on foot past rice fields to the village of Sae Ma. In the afternoon meet the village locals on the lake and travel to one of the monasteries to observe the monastic activities. Transfer to the airport and fly to Yangon. Overnight in Yangon
